윈도 서버의 경우

탐색기로 압축 파일을 해당 위치에 풀어주시면 됩니다.

호스팅을 받는 경우

파일질라, 알FTP 등 FTP 프로그램을 이용해 미리 풀어 놓은 익스텐션 폴더(SpamBlacklist)를 통째로 해당 위치에 전송해줍니다.

Echo 익스텐션 필수 설정

미디어위키의 환경 설정 파일인 LocalSettings.php 파일에 다음과 같은 코드를 추가해줍니다.

Echo 익스텐션 사용법

Echo 익스텐션을 설치하면 위 그림처럼 사용자의 환경 설정 화면에 알림 탭이 생겨납니다.

해당 탭에서 알림을 받을 이메일과 알림 조건, 토론 문서 메시지 표시기를 설정할 수 있습니다.

Echo 익스텐션을 설치하기 전의 위키 문서 읽기 화면은 위아ㅘ 같습니다.

그러나 Echo 익스텐션이 무사히 설치되면 위 그림처럼 화면 최상단의 사용자 문서와 사용자 토론 문서 사이에 두 개의 아이콘이 생긴 것을 확인할 수 있습니다.

왼쪽 종 모양의 아이콘은 위키 사용 중 반드시 알아야 할 중요한 알림을 알려주는 경보 알림입니다.

오른쪽 아이콘은 일반 알림입니다.

만약 알림 내용이 있다면 위 그림처럼 아직 읽지 않은 알림의 개수가 표시됩니다.

알림 아이콘을 클릭하면 위 그림처럼 알림 내용이 표시됩니다.

알림 기능을 사용할 필요가 없는 특수 사용자들이 존재합니다. 예를 들어 위키의 자동 유지 관리 작업을 수행하는 봇이 그러합니다. 이러한 경우 알림 기능을 비활성화하기 위해 LocalSettings.php 파일에서 해당 사용자를 블랙리스트에 올릴 수 있습니다.
